Ideal use: Tennis, pickle ball, running, lacrosse, field hockey, or lunch after the gym. Plus, members of #TeamCourtBottoms tell us they love to throw it on to grab their Saturday morning coffee or run out for that thing they forgot at the grocery store. Yep, we've all been there!
Material features: Fabric is light weight, breathable, moisture wicking, odor resistant, temperature moderating, and so much more!
Design features: Your CORE skirt is a soft a-line cut. It's high waisted for comfort. No, it isn't "too high", but the top of the waistband does sit at your waist instead of your hips. The skirt is designed to be slightly longer in the back than the front to accommodate for our curves. The CORE skirt comes with shorts attached which have two side pockets for functionality. One pocket is large enough to hold your phone while most #TeamCourtBottoms members use the other for their keys or ID.
Sizing: We know you need some measurements to help you figure out what will work best for you, but honestly, we want to reduce the focus on sizing. If you do not see your size below, but are interested in the item, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
Large - waist of 33-35 inches; front length of skirt 17.5 inches (includes waistband); back length of skirt 18.5 includes (includes waistband)
Medium - waist of 30-32 inches; front length of skirt 15 inches (includes waistband); back length of skirt 16 includes (includes waistband)
Small - waist of 27-29 inches; front length of skirt 14.5 inches (includes waistband); back length of skirt 15.5 includes (includes waistband)
X-small - waist of 24-26 inches; front length of skirt 13.5 inches (includes waistband); back length of skirt 14.5 (includes waistband)
Fabric: The skirt is made of rayon from bamboo (uses significantly less water than cotton), merino wool (hello natural fiber that keeps you cool in the summer heat and warm on chilly days) and spandex (because we need a garment that can be as flexible as we are throughout the day). The built in shorts are recycled polyester (Yes, you are putting all of those disposable plastic water bottles to good use) and spandex.
Care instructions: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low... But we have a couple sustainable fashion tips about this! How we care for our clothing can be just as important as how it's made.
(1) Only throw the CORE skirt in the washing machine when your garment needs it. Research shows we overwash our clothing using an exorbitant amount of water, a limited resource in many parts of the world.
(2) Overwashing also wears out your clothes due to harsh detergents breaking down the fibers. We want this item to last for more than one or two seasons so when your skirt is ready to be washed try to find a natural laundry detergent. There are lots of natural detergent options on the market these days. Let us know on social media or at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a natural detergent you love. We want to spread the word to the #TeamCourtBottoms community.
(3) Think about investing in the GUPPYFRIEND (google it!) to stop the contamination of our oceans and waterways. Research shows that washing synthetic textiles plays a significant role in plastic microfiber pollution. To counteract this unsettling finding, we can all wash our clothing made of synthetic materials in the GUPPYFRIEND bag which will catch all of those microfibers before they make it to the closest body of water. This has minimal impact on the #TeamCourtBottoms because we try to maximize our use of natural vs synthetic fibers. However, the shorts attached to your CORE skirt are made from recycled polyester so we do recommend you use the GUPPYFRIEND or a similar product when washing this item.
